Life is pretty surprising. I saw a pretty serious car accident this morning, not only did I “see” it but it happened a few feet away from me. I can honestly say I don’t know what type of shape the driver of the small car is, I hope he is okay but wouldn’t be surprised if it was fatal. He was rushing to get to work. Imagine if that’s what cost you your life? I hope he was rushing to his dream job. And then maybe his loved ones can feel better about that. You don’t know what’s going to happen, ever. No one whose had their life taken from them abruptly - woke up with any clue that that would be their last day. It’s so important that we remember that every single day. As humans we have this mentality “oh my god I can’t believe that happened to that person” but then think (I doubt that will ever happen to ME)… That very well could’ve been you, or you, or your mom or your boyfriend. There is no control. The statistics are more powerful than your will to live. Please remember that every time you say goodbye to someone, or hang out with someone or speak to someone on the phone - that it is more than possible that that could be it. Although unfortunate, the lucky ones are the ones that at least know when they are going to die. When you find out you have cancer, you possibly have the time to say all you need, maybe check off a few things on your bucket list, apologize to the ones you need to and forgive the ones you’ve been resentful to… But many of us will never get the chance so we must ALWAYS be planning like that. Living like that. Not just trying to get through the day. Or the week. Or the month. Or the next hour even. We are mentally asleep going through the motions and REACTING to the life around us rather than CREATING the ones we’ve always dreamed of. This morning was just another beautiful reminder of all of this for me. It’s only fair for me to share that with you

I don’t know if you guys know this or not but the girl and the sailor didn’t even know each other, the sailor was drunk and sexually assaulted her in the street and they got off the boat. history lesson. boom.

UM

NO

THAT’S NOT WHAT HAPPENED

Upon hearing the news that the war was over, everyone was celebrating in the streets. The sailor was overwhelmed with the joy of the moment and grabbed a nurse and kissed her before they parted ways. She didn’t see it as a sexual assault, she understood that everyone was celebrating. And it certainly wasn’t simply a drunken act.

Stop trying to ruin this picture. It captures the joy of the end of a really awful time.

If I’m not mistaken, these two remain friends to this day.

You aren’t mistaken, they visit each other and their families and exchange christmas cards.

And this is him now:

GET YOUR FACTS STRAIGHT PEOPLE. LORD

boom.

Dead Sea, Israel

Swimmers float effortlessly in the salt-laden waters of the Dead Sea near Ein Bokek, Israel. Ten times saltier than seawater, the lake is extremely buoyant and a popular destination for holidaymakers. It’s also Earth’s lowest point on land.
